It's official. I have mailed my first two letters. I will upload images of all the letters I send weekly to this page. I have generated a list thus far of about 75 people, and the list, of course, continues to grow. I am not quite sure as to how in the lords name am I going to acquire all these addresses, when I even loose track of my close friends.
Though, this just forces me to be a bit more creative (and hope people are able to physically "forward," out of the goodness, of just....?). I was excited to discover Anthony Doerr writes a bi-monthly column for the Boston Globe- YES-an address. Publishers, record labels, and universities- let's see what delivers.
I am quite surprised by the mix of emotions I have already experienced. Nonetheless, I am focused. This project is not so much about me, as it is about everyone else. The recipients. Mail. And it's not a baby announcement or an invitation to a wedding of someone you barely know.
I am working with only found and recycled materials, and each letter is hand stamped and sewn with a blue thread- the signature of the project.
